It's just a small thing, collected by folks for generations as part of the history of American currency. But despite its smallness, it stands tall against those who would eliminate cash entirely from our daily lives.
On May 22, 2025, the U.S. Treasury Department unveiled its plan to eliminate the penny from future production and circulation. Their stated reasoning? Because it costs too much to produce and isn't worth the trouble.

But the real reason is that it was a clever first step in the plan to get rid of cash altogether to the benefit of big banks and digital currency. A nation is responsible for making a currency and protecting it. Without the penny, the ability to make exact change is impossible and the natural result would be to label cash unsupportable.

This campaign was begun the very same day as the Treasury's announcement as a direct and urgent response to this attack on our right to use cash and to raise the alarm and promote the true value of a healthy cash currency. All Americans, especially the lower and middle-class, rely on the viability of cash. Our little penny was never more important.​
